1619 Project

The staggering hypocrisy here is amazing when one considers the New York Times’ 1619 Project. Historians have come forward to note they advised against factual inaccuracies in the project, but the Times ignored them even after consulting them. Other historians have come forward to point out the Times got basic facts wrong, distorted history, and […]

The 1619 Project

The Pulitzer Has Become a Joke

The 1619 Project might very well deserve a Pulitzer Prize for fiction. But before that is awarded, perhaps the Pulitzer Center should give itself its own prize, in the category of comedy. They have made the prize itself a very sad joke.

The New York Times Embraces a Neo-Confederate World View For Its 1619 Project

There is real racism in the United States. It is objectively true that white supremacists have been emboldened these last few years and it is objectively true that President Trump’s rhetoric has played a part even if he has not intended it to. In my opinion, his rhetoric often plays a part because of how […]

Reframing American History is Activism, Not Journalism

The New York Times has commissioned their 1619 Project. According to the Times, the project “aims to reframe the country’s history, understanding 1619 as our true founding, and placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very center of the story we tell ourselves about who we are.” They key […]

Another Egregious Factual Error in the New York Times’ 1619 Project

As I mentioned yesterday, the New York Times has decided to declare the whole America experiment illegitimate with its “1619 Project” that it admits is an attempt to “reframe” American history. The purpose is to claim the whole of the nation is premised on slavery. Its first essay, from Nikole Hannah-Jones, is here and contains […]

Let Me Tell You What the New York Times Gets Right in the 1619 Project

Not far from my home used to stand an old dilapidated house everyone referred to the “half-house.” Back in the 1950’s and 1960’s as the all white Georgia Department of Transportation began mapping out where to pave I-75 through Georgia, the usual suspects got in on the action. Counties insisted on steering roads through small […]

President Trump Delivers Memorable Jamestown Speech

Today marks the 400th celebration of representative government in the New World. On this day in 1619, the House of Burgesses—which morphed into the present-day Virginia General Assembly—was housed in Jamestown, Virginia. This significant event propelled the formation of the representative government federally and elsewhere across the U.S. President Donald Trump was the keynote speaker […]

NYT: The People Are Our Enemy

A revealing look inside the newsroom at The New York Times leaves little to the imagination. Executive editor Dean Baquet is convinced that America is divided into woke goodness and white supremacists, and the white supremacists are led by President Trump (who up to a few weeks ago, was a Russian stooge). Slate obtained a […]

The Atoning Sacrifice of the Union Soldiers Means Nothing to the New York Times’ 1619 Project

The United States very literally paid an atoning sacrifice for the sin of slavery. Union preachers of the day and the President of the United States came to see the war in that light. Prior to the Civil War, more and more prominent Americans began discussing it in that light. The war was divine wrath poured out on the nation for enslaving a population. While the New York Times may get there, its revisionist, reframing exercise right now totally misses all of that. In fact, the progressive rhetoric of the day and calls for reparations from Democrat politicians are poured out into a void of willful ignorance as they ignore the body count of mostly white Union soldiers who died that slavery might end. They paid reparations with their lives, The nation lost 2% of its male population.

Beer and Football: Origins Of A Thanksgiving Tradition

The Thanksgiving traditions of beer and football date back further than you think.

How Beer and Football Became a Part of Thanksgiving Day

This Thanksgiving as millions of Americans settle into a turkey-induced afternoon coma, others will push aside their plates and prepare to partake in that other great American Thanksgiving tradition. The tradition that I speak of is not honoring the memory of the Pilgrims or thanking God for his blessings, although those are also important. […]

Democrats: It’s Not Your Fault

History is dead. We know this because the 1619 Project tells us that only the victors write history, and the victors in America lack the genetic markers for prodigious melanin, and possess a Y chromosome. White men. But let’s take that further. White men, unadulterated by conscience, driven by ambition and a cold-eyed pursuit of […]

Unelected Bureaucrat Feds Overturn Georgia Carry Laws

Your incredibly efficient and all-knowing, all-powerful, all-protecting government has come up with yet another policy to protect you. Effective June 1, TSA will now arrest folks who inadvertently bring a legal firearm to Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International, to the airport security area of the terminal. Nationwide, TSA confiscated 2,653 guns last year, some from accidental gun […]

Strict Anti-Gun Initiative Passes in Washington State: Here’s What it Does

Washington voters are, positive that, criminals will obey this law–unlike all the other ones.

With a May 7 Deadline, Trump Only Hired a California Political Director Yesterday

The candidates in California get to submit delegates from each congressional district. If a candidate wins a congressional district, his delegates get to vote. It took Cruz more than 5 months to find delegates in all of California’s congressional districts. Cruz found 169 delegates and 169 alternates, which is a complete slate of delegates and alternates. Trump is just starting and the deadline to turn in his list is May 7th.
