I Still Don’t See How Biden Pulls This Off

So, two weeks ago, the polls looked horrible for Donald Trump to the point where all the smart money was saying he had thrown in the towel. Now, at least Rasmussen, which liberals will always dismiss yet who proved to be the most accurate in the 2016 election cycle, has a very tight race both nationally and in key battleground states.

And I will say again, none of it matters. I have been (and remain) convinced that this election will be decided on roughly one thing – will Joe Biden have to come out from the shadows and actually be visible in this campaign. If he does, I don’t see how Trump doesn’t win re-election (though if anyone could pull it off, I think Trump can).

Biden’s declining mental capability is well-known at this point, but the coronavirus panic has allowed handlers to safely tuck him away. He comes out only in pre-recorded videos and very controlled interviews. And even those don’t go well.

A host of registered nurses replied to that last clip noting that in all their years in the profession they had never heard of such a thing. Like I said, it’s getting bad.

Beyond the rambling, are the likely scripted, but outrageously false accusations. For instance:

Speaking during a virtual town hall, Biden made the claim in response to racist remarks that the president has made to characterize the coronavirus pandemic. Trump and others in his circle have repeatedly referred to the virus as the “China virus,” the “kung flu” and the “Wuhan virus.”

Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, in turn claimed that “no sitting president has ever done this, never, never, never. No Republican president has done this. No Democratic president. We’ve had racists, and they’ve existed, and they’ve tried to get elected president. But he’s the first one that has.”

Democrat President Andrew Jackson, besides being a notoriously abusive slave master, forced Native Americans to march the Trail of Tears.

Democrat President Woodrow Wilson re-segregated the federal government, and welcomed the pro-KKK “Birth of a Nation” to be shown at his White House.

Democrat President Franklin Roosevelt stripped Japanese Americans of their freedom and forced them into internment camps simply because of the way they looked.

And let’s remember that Joe Biden’s history of racist remarks is not something that can be glossed over. This isn’t a winning issue or even a smart political angle for the former VP.

I know the polls. I know the country’s frustration with coronavirus. I know the tiring petulance of Donald Trump and his arrogant demeanor. I know all of that. But I also know his opponent can’t do this. So what gives?
