SCOTUS Saturday – Guns and Qualified Immunity off the table

It was a pretty busy week with a couple of highly-charged decisions this week at the SCOTUS. Erick Erickson covered them pretty well from a conservative angle earlier this week.

There were a couple of other decisions – and non-decisions – that occurred as well.

Of pretty big importance that flew under the radar was the Supreme Court denied review to 10 second amendment cases and 9 qualified immunity cases, after a lengthy period where they were relisted over and over again. Justice Clarence Thomas dissented in the failure to relist on on a couple of the cases. One wonders if they would have gotten more publicity this week.

Also, in Andrus vs Texas, an unsigned opinion held that a prisoner was not given proper legal counsel.

It’s been a busy week, and we can expect some more decisions 10 AM on Monday.
