Consider Mike Lindell of My Pillow fame. He is a serious Trump supporter. He has focused his small company in Minnesota on making masks for doctors and nurses. The President wanted to use his press conference to highlight not just the doctors and nurses on the front lines, but the private sector American businesses that are mobilizing resources to help them. This is what he got.
What I actually find most notable though is this one:
This is CNN’s Executive Editor. He is retweeting Aaron Rupar, a partisan progressive hack, and doing so to be dismissive of My Pillow’s efforts. Say what you will about Lindell’s prayer, but his company is stepping up and the President wanted to highlight him.
For an ‘apples or bananas’ executive editor at CNN to be that dismissive is everything wrong with the mainstream media today and why so many people distrust it. What social media is doing is just revealing that the biases we always suspected were there actually are there. The willing condescension against Lindell and his company without even noting My Pillow is going to make masks for first responders just reinforces the media drips with disdain for those who live outside the coastal progressive bubble. It is made somewhat ironic that the person doing the dismissive disdainful routine is the executive editor of a news network purportedly headquartered in Georgia.
