I’ll admit that it looks like I will be wrong in my
prediction that there was no way the Democrats would nominate former Vice
President Joe Biden to be their presidential nominee in 2020.
He outlasted many who would have been more worthy
standard-bearers, and became the obvious default option for the non-socialist
loony-fringe of the party that was sold out to Comrade Bernie and his
non-specific, economically-buffoonish promises of free stuff for everyone.
“Just make the billionaires pay for it,” didn’t end up satisfying the
mainstream Democrats who can think past the end of their nose.
Still, I remain confident that though Biden has effectively
won the nomination, he will not be the candidate on the ballot for the
Democrats when I step into the voting booth in November.
I don’t know who the Democrat establishment will replace him
with – some smarter than me say Hillary Clinton again, others think an
impressive-looking, post-COVID19 Andrew Cuomo, and still others go extreme and
suggest Michelle Obama – but whoever it is, I simply can’t foresee how the
Democrats will honestly move forward with this as the alternative to Donald
Trump that they offer the American people in November:
The man apparently didn’t even know where he was or what he
was doing. This isn’t just speculation or rumor-mongering. This is a collapsing
mind being put on display under the bright lights and rigor of a presidential
And it’s not going to get any better. Consider that Team
Biden thought it would be a shrewd political maneuver to have their man start
offering shadow briefings to America regarding this viral crisis. The hope was
to convey to the country that Biden would be a far more reassuring and stable
mind to guide us through something this traumatic. And this was the result:
This is elder abuse.
It isn’t right. And beyond that, I can’t help but think the
people perpetrating it for the sake of politics are going to soon realize it
isn’t working either.
