Guns and Ammo are flying off shelves.

Coronavirus fears are pushing citizens to buy firearms and stock up on ammunition.

Once all the stores were cleaned out of toilet paper, bread, and meat, Americans have logically lined up for the tools best suited for defending their homes: firearms and ammunition.

All around the country, citizens are arming up to defend themselves. With the coronavirus stoking fear and causing some persons to stockpile food and other supplies,

Retailers say the buying frenzy is being fueled by consumers who are worried that people are becoming so desperate and unpredictable, they need to ensure they can protect themselves.

Firearm and ammo purchases haven’t been confined to a single part of the country either. The above article referenced gun stores in Georgia, Idaho, long lines at gun stores in Los Angeles.

At least one mayor in Illinois recently utilized an executive order to bar the sale of guns and ammo and the mayor of New Orleans followed suite, adding to the fear of general lawlessness some fear may happen if containment of the virus spirals out of control.

Whether or not those fears come to life in the next several months is anyone’s guess. But having the ability to defend one’s self is a right I fully support.
