NYT: Warren To Drop Out

The New York Times is reporting that Elizabeth Warren will suspend her presidential campaign on Thursday. The Massachusetts senator was once considered a front runner in the Democratic primary.

The Warren campaign foundered after the release of her long awaited Medicare-for-all plan last summer. The plan was deemed unrealistically optimistic on costs even by Democrats.

The death knell for Warren’s presidential hopes came on Tuesday when she failed to win even her home state. She finished third in Massachusetts with 21 percent of the vote, more than 10 points behind Joe Biden.
