Has Anything Backfired as Bad as the “Nobody Celebrates Abortion” Claim?

I don’t know who Jeff Yang is. Until he made one of the most hilariously bad tweets in the history of the online medium, I could have never told you that he was a writer for CNN. Not that it comes as any surprise that the clownish network would actually be paying someone so ingrained in a liberal echo chamber they would tweet something this uninformed:

To be clear, Yang was firing back at then-presidential candidate Andrew Yang (no relation) for daring to confront the left’s sacred cow of abortion. At a candidate forum, Andrew Yang had quite reasonably argued to his fellow Democrats,

“We have to get back to the point where nobody should be celebrating abortion.”

Jeff Yang took exception that that, believing that Andrew was foolishly falling into a right-wing trap of describing liberals as “celebrating abortion.” But seriously, all it would have taken this CNN contributor was a three second Google search to see that it’s hardly conservative slander.

From Planned Parenthood’s macabre “Shout Your Abortion” campaign a few years ago, actress Lena Dunham publicly wishing she had committed an abortion that she could now brag about, Oprah Winfrey promoting the glory of abortion, or Planned Parenthood campus activists openly declaring their love of abortion, it’s as sick as it is obvious:

If it wasn’t so depressing how wrong Yang was, it would be hilarious. Still, how much you want to bet he’ll still keep drawing a CNN paycheck?
