Richmond Judge Allows Northam’s Gun Ban To Proceed, Gun Groups Promise to Sue

Judge Joi Jeter Taylor of the Richmond Circuit Court denied the request for a temporary injunction on the gun ban in Capital Square in the state capital, meaning Governor Northam’s emergency declaration will go into effect tomorrow at 5pm.

This “temporary” ban on firearms in and around Capital Square will be in effect until Tuesday at 5pm, coinciding with Monday’s annual Lobby Day event.

Erich Pratt of Gun Owners of America tweeted the fight isn’t over. He said both organizations plan to take the suit to the Virginia Supreme Court.
