San Francisco’s New Cop-Hating DA, Chesa Boudin, Welcomes You to Venezuela By The Bay

America is a strange place, looked at globally. We daily prove that all government is local, and while we obsess over who will rule the roost in Washington, D.C., and what politicians will ascend to the White House or to Congress, we tend to ignore the petty, evil dictators that can have much more influence over our lives than any orange-tinted Twitter mogul on the Potomac. The Pol Pots who reign over San Francisco, and its citizens who have elected a cop-hater from a cop-murdering family to be its chief prosecutor, are quickly destroying what little character their city has. They are driving its real citizens to move out (to New York, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and Denver, but only if you're white), and its minorities to endure hellacious commutes and cheap housing with little economic opportunity.

As San Francisco leads California’s sprint from the ragged edges of modernity into the mephitic wasteland of third world corruption, its new district attorney Chesa Boudin has snatched the front-runner position and the title of Chef de la Révolution.

This man, the adopted son of two Weather Underground radicals convicted of murdering cops, has been chosen by those who remain in the City by the Bay not to enforce laws or restore order, but to complete the city’s journey into dystopian chaos.

He has now taken this mantle and applied it to his new position–the DA’s office will, upon Boudin’s ascendancy in January, ignore “quality-of-life crimes.” Quoting Boudin: “crimes such as public camping, offering or soliciting sex, public urination, blocking a sidewalk, etc., should not and will not be prosecuted.”

As “Fuck the POA! Fuck the POA! Fuck the POA!” filled the room, the leader at the podium offered her middle finger, and many in the crowd followed suit. The profane chorus was not led by a grassroots Boudin supporter, nor by an Antifa rabble-rouser, but by Sandra Lee Fewer, an elected member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Other city supervisors past and present also graced the stage, including Matt Haney, Hillary Ronen, and Jane Kim.

The “POA” is San Francisco’s Police Officers Association. You know, the cops, the ones who arrest criminals. But when the criminals are celebrated, and crime itself is elevated, then what’s a DA to do? See, Chesa Boudin was never into law enforcement. He was a public defender who would, if they existed, display a “Jackboot Life” sticker in the back window of his Tesla (assuming that, de rigeur, he drives one). Because the only society San Francisco is left with, is the have-much’s, letting the have-not’s rule the fetid streets beneath their IPO-fueled Peloton parlors. This is what happens when enough rich communists gather to prove once again the bankruptcy of their ideals.

Chesa Boudin wanted [political consultant] Jim Stearns to help him with a long-shot endeavor: becoming San Francisco’s next district attorney. Boudin was hopeful, despite never having prosecuted a case and having a controversial background that included an imprisoned father and a stint working for Hugo Chávez, the late president of Venezuela who was criticized for trampling human rights.

The head prosecutor of San Francisco has decided he needs to address the “root causes” of crime: “corporate landlords.” That’s right. It’s not illegal immigrant drug dealers and organized crime flocking to San Francisco to ply their wares and sell victims into sex slavery. It’s not the drug-addicts who openly steal from local shops and the cops do nothing because, hey, it’s just theft. It’s not the vandalism, or the stench of human feces on the street that makes one want to leave one’s heart elsewhere than San Francisco. It’s those evil corporate landlords who have made the rents so unaffordable that teachers have to live in homeless shelters.

The police will be reduced to nothing more than a Quick-Reaction Force (QRF), protecting the rich from harm in their filtered, insulated bubbles. Like most third world nations, in San Francisco the middle class will become non-existent. There will be the rich (and I don’t mean “moderately successful dentist” rich, I mean “filthy VC IPO” rich), living behind walled retreats, while the Cursed Earth is left to rot. Except this isn’t “Judge Dredd.” It’s more like mini-Venezuela, powered not by oil but by silicon.

We know how it will end.
