I’m Tired of the President and Press’s Messy Divorce

Remember that movie “War of the Roses”? Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner are a happily married couple who benefit greatly from marriage to each other until they don’t. It gets ugly. Ultimately, the marriage ends when they both jump onto the chandelier and it falls with them on it.

The American people are basically the kids watching Trump and the media go through a messy divorce. They’ve just jumped onto the chandelier fighting over a sharpie marker and we’re only going to move on when the divorce is final.

The President and press thrived off each other for years in a symbiotic, mutually beneficial relationship. Trump got exposure. The press got ratings. Then it turned ugly.

This is really freaking ridiculous. How many people are dead in the Bahamas? No idea. We have to wait for the President and media to give up fighting over a freaking sharpie marker before we can find out.

You know, there is not a single damn person on planet earth who will be persuaded the President is insane by any of this if that person was not already persuaded. There is not a single damn person who cares about it if they didn’t already care.

How many major stories will get minor or no coverage because the President and media are squabbling over a sharpie marker?
