Omar and Tlaib’s Virulent Anti-Semitism is Actual Racism: Democrats Accept Racists In Their Tribe

Many on the left accuse anyone who fails to condemn President Trump on any issue of supporting a racist. These same people, who themselves refuse to condemn actual racists Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, are supporting anti-semitism and Jew-hatred. They are also complicit.

If there were a member of the United States Congress who joined the Proud Boys, or carried a tiki torch, or planned trips to Africa to find places for people of color to return to, that person would be run out of Washington on a rail.

For far less racism than Rep. Ilhan Omar and her Suicide Squad disciples AOC and Rashida Tlaib have shown toward Jews and Israelis, Rep. Steve King was stripped of his committee posts and snubbed by President Trump, disinvited from Air Force One while the president traveled to his home state of Iowa. The drumbeat of “racist!” from the left’s tribe regarding Trump’s own statements, frequently plucked out of context or twisted to enhance the rage factor stands in stark contrast to the actual racism and virulent anti-semitism spouted by Omar.

Monday, Omar said Israel is not a democracy, nor is it America’s ally. Such statements can only be born of a deeply embedded prejudice, because no facts bear them out.

This sentiment goes back a very long way. In 2012, she tweeted “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”

Regarding Jews, Omar was forced into an insincere apology for tweeting “It’s all about the Benjamins” in February. She has also apologized for the 2012 tweet, which she had deleted. But it’s clear Omar’s feelings have not changed one bit.

She, along with her anti-semitic homeys, stood against the entire House in opposing a resolution condemning the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign, which seeks to delegitimize Israel by attacking Israeli companies and goods.

Omar sought to travel to Israel, not with the 70-plus House members who traveled there earlier this month, with the blessing and support of the Israeli government, but on her own itinerary, with Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a fellow Jew-hater and racist. For their planned trip, the two partnered with a group that has published blood libels about Jews, celebrated terrorists that murdered dozens of Israelis, including 13 children, and whitewashed jihidi violence.

The group, Miftah, opened the racist question of whether Jews should “go back” where they came from. Wherever that is.

No wonder the Israeli government decided to block the trip. Would America let Venezuelan lawmakers in to meet with MS-13? Even knowing he would take a PR hit, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu thought it was more important not to give Omar and her fellow blood libelers a platform and backdrop for their racist bile.

Then, Israel kept its promise by approving a humanitarian itinerary for Rep. Rashida Tlaib to visit her grandmother. Tlaib proved her racism by hating Israelis more than she loves her 99-year-old grandmother. President Trump trolled her mercilessly on Twitter, but Tlaib richly deserved it.

Tlaib’s grandmother responded with a curse: “Trump tells me I should be happy Rashida is not coming,” Reuters reported her saying. “May God ruin him.”

Omar and Tlaib’s hatred of Israel and Jews runs as deep as any white supremacist’s belief in their own superiority over people of color. I’d say even deeper, since many white supremacists are young and too stupid to know how awful they truly are.

Democrats tolerate and accept this, with outlets like the New York Times casting it as a battle against Trump, who is friendly with Israel and Netanyahu. If they can make it about Trump, maybe it won’t seem like racism. Read this tidbit and tell me it’s not about racism,

For other Jewish voters and activists, this political moment has roused both ancient fears and modern security concerns. Hate crimes against Jews have risen for three years, according to the F.B.I., accounting for a majority of all religion-based hate crimes at 58.1 percent of incidents. Muslims were the second most frequent target, at 18.6 percent.

Democrats and anti-Trumpists would love to lay the blame for attacks on Jews at Trump’s feet, while excusing the actual racism and anti-semitism of Omar and Tlaib. It’s an impossible high wire for them to walk.

I fear that nothing short of a miracle will move Reps. Omar and Tlaib from their racist hatred. I do hope, however, that their compatriots in the House of Representatives will awaken from their slumber and do something to address this growing cancer and festering scandal.

Tlaib is a member of the House Committee on Financial Services, and the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. Omar is a member of the “House Budget Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee, where serves on the Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights and International Organizations and the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. She also serves on the House Education and Labor Committee, where she is a member of the Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Development and the Subcommittee on Workforce Protections.” (From Omar’s House website.)

At a minimum, both of them should be stripped of all their assignments. They need to be silenced and shamed, because their brand of racism must not be tolerated. The Democrats won’t do it, because to do so will make Trump look good.

Many on the left accuse anyone who fails to condemn President Trump on any issue of supporting a racist. These same people, who themselves refuse to condemn actual racists Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, are supporting anti-semitism and Jew-hatred. They are also complicit.
