While I Find It Funny, I Think Israel Got This Wrong

Israel has handed a major PR win to the so-called “squad” by prohibiting two American congresswomen from entering their country as part of a congressional delegation.

Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) have been denied entry because they support the BDS movement, which is a radical movement that seeks to hurt Israel.

I totally understand the reasoning, but I think all Israel is doing is generating sympathetic media martyrdom for two of the worst members of Congress. I also think countries should not block members of the United States Congress on multi-members trips.

More importantly, I think the way Israel should have handled this is to let them come in and, when they inevitably started stirring up anti-Semitic sentiment against Israel, then thrown their butts out. Israel would have been in the right and would have mitigated the press coverage.

Preventing them from coming altogether just gives the American media multiple days of news cycles to attack Israel, their Prime Minister, and our President.
