You Don’t Have to Work There

Protestors around the country are upset with Uber, which is going public. They want the drivers to get paid more. Some of the drivers are complaining. Lyft, the other ride share service, is in a similar predicament.

Here’s the thing though — you don’t have to work there. You can get a job elsewhere. We have pretty much full employment in this country. If you are not happy with your job right now, get your resumé in order and go market yourself. Employers are looking and they’re paying well across the country to fill jobs.

Instead of complaining, go forth and conquer the tight job market.

As for Uber, I took a trip last night and made sure to take Uber. There were a few protestors at the airport I went to. There were calls for boycotting Uber. But there were plenty of rides and plenty of people taking those rides.

The free market is a good thing.
