Biden isn’t moderate on gun rights

He believes there is a rational way to deal with the 2nd Amendment

Democrats have been an enemy of the Second Amendment for seemingly an eternity. Representative Swalwell is basing his entire presidential campaign on the removal of gun rights. Senator Cory Booker believes we should have a national firearms database, and if you don’t believe you should have to register your firearms with the federal government, then you’re probably going to be imprisoned.

The great hope of the Democrat party, and the one voters seem to agree with the most, is Joe Biden. Biden is trying to not present as radical a face as the million other candidates in the primary. But Uncle Joe is no moderate. When it comes to the Second Amendment, he is just as guilty as wanting to see it trodden upon.

Now, Biden doesn’t come right out and say the radical things Booker and Swalwell have posited. His language is that there is “a rational way to deal with the Second Amendment”, invoking mass shootings in Las Vegas and Newtown to add emotional punch to his statement.

Biden was right alongside Obama when Obama worked to remove and restrict gun rights. He has been a supporter of assault weapons bans, and has previously stated that being opposed to gun control laws “borders on irrational”.

I am a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment and I’ll be damned if I’ll stand by and watch the right to defend myself and my loved ones be stripped away. Democrats and progressives are hellbent on removing the Second Amendment because it provides a check to unconstitutional power grabs.

The Second Amendment is very clear about the right it is protecting. “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed”. It is the only amendment to feature the words “shall not be infringed”. If the Democrats and progressives want to rid the country of the Second Amendment, they picked the wrong group of people to mess with.
