The pittance passed in the border security bill now really looks like the joke it was. Unless the goal is to create a humanitarian and political crisis and I am beginning to believe that is exactly what Democrats want.
To every traditional Republican suburban voter that pulled the lever for a Democrat because of Trump, because he’s boorish or Russia or whatever, this is on you. If you can’t differentiate between the voting for the Chief Executive and your Congressman, shame on you. This flood of people, which will be caught and then released into communities like yours through religious organizations and resettlement organizations, is all on you.
Customs and Border Patrol Commissioner Kevin McAleenan had to get in front of a camera again today to reiterate that our southern border is quite literally overwhelmed. This is great news for cartels and human traffickers. That flood of fentanyl and methamphetamines, the abuse of women and children. Yea on you. You showed the GOP!
On Monday according to McAleenan, the day started with 12,000 people detained in El Paso. By the end of the day, there were 13,400. According to Mc Aleenan, 4,000 is high and 6,000 is approaching a crisis.
Total illegal crossings were the highest in a decade twice this week with 4,000 on Monday and 4,117 on Wednesday. March is on track to exceed 100,000 apprehensions which has not happened since 2008.
