Judge Jeanine Pirro Attacks Muslim Congresswoman for Dual Loyalty

Fox News sure has some hosts who like to both make it easy for their critics and also turn the bad guys into victims. After Congresswoman Omar was roundly denounced by the right and even some of her Democratic colleagues for pulling out the anti-Semitic “dual loyalty” trope, here comes Judge Jeanine Pirro on Fox News to accuse Omar of dual loyalty.

According to Pirro, Omar’s wearing the hijab might just be an affront to the United States Constitution.

First, can we talk about Pirro’s monologue itself? I’ve seen scarecrows deliver more fluid monologues. It is stilted, halting, and just bad.

Second, it is not very insightful, highly superficial, and opens Pirro and Fox up to more attacks allowing Democrats to turn the table. It was not bright and not helpful. It is the perfect pivot point for Democrats and Pirro is the useful idiot here.

Lastly, if a guest on Fox News were to suggest a Muslim congresswoman might have dual loyalty, they would see their appearances disappear for a while, if not permanently. I am not sure what producer at Fox thought it was a good idea for this monologue to air, but it was not a good idea and I assume management will get involved here.

Pirro is a distraction.
