BOY Scouts No More, as Girls Officially Allowed to Join

The cultural erosion of right and wrong, and the fading of firm biological boundaries is in full swing.

We’re a society that no longer recognizes biology as a science, but rather, a loose guideline, to be implemented or ignored, as it suits our whims.

Maybe that’s why the chief scout executive of the Boy Scouts of America seems to be so excited to see traditions torn down, as his organization now welcomes girls into their ranks.

“I could not be more excited for what this means for the next generation of leaders in our nation,” Chief Scout Executive Michael B. Surbaugh told CNN on Friday.

“Through Scouts BSA, more young people than ever before — young women and men — will get to experience the benefits of camaraderie, confidence, resilience, trustworthiness, courage and kindness through a time-tested program that has been proven to build character and leadership,” Surbaugh continued.

The Boy Scouts, an organization that has been around for over 100 years, was once a group for young men to learn skills, citizenship, and self-sufficiency, in an environment that was safe and did not punish them for their maleness.

As the group now begins adding girls to that group, ages 11 to 17, at the very time when puberty is setting in and that self-conscious sense of being sized up by the opposite sex seems to encompass every waking moment, we can only wonder how soon before some young woman fires the first shot at the organization.

In this too “woke” society, just a passing glance can be used as a punishable offense.

Put pre-pubescent and hormone-driven youth together, and at some point, something will go wrong.

Unfortunately, our current state of reality prevents us from pointing out that males and females are different, for a reason.

To be clear, the Cub Scouts, which would be the younger kids, ages 5 to 11, have been taking girls into their ranks since last year. Around 77,000 little girls have joined, since that time.

So what happens with the Girl Scouts of America? Do they even matter, now? I mean, if the goal is to erase the differences and create this unisex universe, where there is no more male or female, and all those things that make the two genders special and unique are to be eradicated, then having a Girl Scout group seems pointless.

Well, they don’t think so.

The Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) also issued a statement at the time that the “benefit of the single-gender environment has been well-documented by educators, scholars, other girl- and youth-serving organizations, and Girl Scouts and their families.”

GSUSA later sued BSA over a name change in a trademark infringement lawsuit last. The group said in a statement to CNN on Friday that the move “does not change the position of Girl Scouts of the USA or our mission to serve girls, and girls only, and to foster their amazing leadership potential. We remain steadfast in our knowledge that Girl Scouts is the world’s single best leadership development program for girls.”

Shots fired!

I’m going to go ahead and side with the Girl Scouts in this controversy. They get it.

And no, I don’t think it’s a matter of competition. I think it’s a matter of sanity, however.

Girl Scouts play to the strengths of little girls, building them up in a safe environment, where they don’t have to stress over being watched or judged.

They’re also not giving up their space and their unity, during a time of important development to men.

It works both ways.

Truly, the degradation and co-opting of the Scouts, for the sake of political correctness isn’t the biggest issue our kids are facing today. It is, however, one more sign of things to come, and I can’t help but believe this forcing of our children to act outside of what is their nature will eventually come back to harm us.
