David French Defends Wife on Twitter

With allies like Julie Kelley, we sure as hell don't need any enemies.

I am vaguely aware of the existence of the website “American Greatness.” It’s your go to news source for daily praise of president Trump. They’re currently busy now calling the Mueller probe a witch hunt and dancing on the grave of the Weekly Standard. But writer Julie Kelly apparently found some spare time to insult a sexual abuse victim on Twitter.

So, apparently, Kelly equated being sexually molested by a priest at the age of 12 with “screwing around as a teen.”

I truly do not have the words to describe how heinous this is. What kind of vile harpy would attack another woman like this? Does she really think this is winning any supporters for Trump?

Unfortunately for her, Nancy French is the wife of David French, who took to Twitter in defense of his wife after she finally admitted to him how much this remark had hurt her:

Normally, I would suggest that she apologize and perhaps that her sponsor would issue some sort of reprimand, but I’m sure that would be a waste of everybody’s time and energy.

Instead, I will point out to Ms. Kelly that since worship of all things Trump seems to be the central tenet of your life, you aren’t doing our great president any favors with comments like this. The Republican party has a serious problem with women voters. Comments like yours actively chases them away. You want to see Trump reelected? Then quit posting garbage like this. You do more harm to yourself and your cause than you could possibly imagine.
