BREAKING: At Least 8 Dead in Shooting at Pittsburgh Synagogue

Several others wounded, including three police officers.

The first rule of mass shooting reports is that early information is always wrong. So keep that in mind, but here’s what we tentatively know:

A gunman walked into morning services at Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA this morning and opened fire.

The shooter has now surrendered to police. He is said to be a 46-year-old Caucasian man, and eyewitnesses stated he was yelling “All Jews must die” during the attack.

A possible name of the shooter is being circulated online, but it will not be shared here.

Eight people are confirmed dead, and at least four others injured, including three police officers who had exchanged fire with the man.

Police do not believe there are any additional shooters, but they are still advising area residents to stay indoors due to concern of suspicious packages at the scene.
