Chip Roy Talks Conservatism, The Swamp, and Border Security – (Full Interview)

Conservative GOP Congressional candidate Chip Roy stopped by the Resurgent Gathering.

Erick Erickson sat down to interview future conservative superstar Chip Roy at the Resurgent Gathering today. Chip discussed border security, the VA, budgets, why nothing ever gets done in Washington, and what can be done about it.

Here is the raw interview footage. (Sorry for any background noise.)

Chip Roy is the Republican candidate for the 21st Congressional District in Texas. He may be best known for being Sen. Ted Cruz’s former Chief of Staff, but he has held multiple other positions for conservative politicians as well. He was also a senior adviser to former Gov. Rick Perry, and more recently, he served as First Assistant Attorney General of Texas under Texas’ Attorney General Ken Paxton. He is a well-known conservative fighter amongst Texans, and now he looks like he is on his way to Congress after winning a primary run-off against Matt McCall.

Chip has been endorsed by Sen. Cruz, former Gov. Rick Perry, Rep. Louie Gohmert, The Club for Growth, Mark Levin, and others. He is a superstar in the making in the mold of Sen. Mike Lee and Sen. Ted Cruz. This is a good opportunity to get to see him before he appears on the Sunday shows in the future.
