All the crazies in Arkham Asylum escaped this afternoon, but instead of fighting Batman and Robin in Gotham City, they invaded the Hart Senate Building in Washington D.C. Hundreds of left-wing activists with as much mental connection to reality as comic book supervillains occupied the Senate office building’s atrium and surrounding balconies today. They protested ICE, deportations, and general immigration enforcement, chanting and shaking their fists. Fortunately, the atrium has a lovely glass ceiling, giving convenient access to scream at the sky.
Like most Arkham Asylum inmates, they drew all over themselves, screamed incoherently, and appear to have skipped baths. They also wrapped themselves in silver metallic blankets for convenient transport and serving. Maybe they thought they were all microwavable burritos. That makes as much sense as anything else they believe.
But instead of running into Batman today, they met the Capitol Hill police, who arrested about 600 of them.
This is a clear continuation of escalating aggression by Leftist activists, heeding Maxine Waters’ call to hostility. We just saw a group of college-aged men confronting Elaine Chao and Mitch McConnell. Now this.
This is a obvious security issue, since many elected officials who are the target of liberal hatred, have their offices in the Hart Senate Building.
These activists are freaking out that they are losing and cannot control their rage. They demand the most extreme policies. Anything less than open borders is fascism … not doing as they demand is fascism … basic decency and civility is the enabling of fascism. And if you disagree, they will intimidate you into silence, since you must be a closet fascist. Um, that sounds pretty fascist itself.
As Harvey Dent/Two-Face once said, “You either die the hero, or live long enough to see yourself become a fascist.” I think that’s how it went.
Democrat leadership supposedly is rebuking Maxine Waters and these calls for an escalation in tensions. Nancy Pelosi verbally denounced it. But then you watch this video and see Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) sit down in this circle of insanity, clearly endorsing the activist invasion. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) held up a sign reading, “End Detentions Now.” And several other Democrat senators met with the protestors. These senators’ actions speak much loader than Pelosi’s words. They are unleashing a monster on their enemies that they will not be able to control. And the monster will eventually bite them too.
