Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced this morning that the Israeli Prime Minister has cancelled a previously-scheduled speech before the Knesset this evening and instead will make a “significant” announcement from the Israeli Defense Force headquarters in Tel Aviv regarding the Obama Administration’s 2013 U.S.-Iranian Nuclear Arms Deal.
This announcement comes after the Prime Minister’s visit to the White House in Washington, D.C. last week, at which Netanyahu and President Donald Trump discussed the status of the Deal. Netanyahu also met with newly confirmed U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Sunday in Tel Aviv.
It is further worthy of note that following these talks, Israeli missiles destroyed Iranian-linked military targets in Syria overnight last night.
While the Prime Minister’s office is remaining mum regarding what Netanyahu will announce, Israeli time is 7 hours ahead of the American Eastern Time Zone, so we in the States will learn what he has to say by early afternoon.
