Chip Roy: The Conservative We Need in Congress

Conservatives have a rare opportunity in Texas' 21st District Primary. Elect a proven conservative to Congress: Chip Roy

Congressional elections are usually a snooze, especially here in Texas. Incumbents win 98-some odd percent of the time and the rare few open seats are usually won by somebody that happens to have a lot of zeros in their bank account when the seat comes open.

This year is something entirely different. With 4 open seats (possibly more between now and Monday) and a better bench of candidates than conservatives have had in years, we’re going to have a fun primary season!

One of conservatives’ greatest opportunities can be found in Texas’ 21st district. In a crowded field of at least 10 candidates, we have a conservative rockstar who’s stepped up: Chip Roy.

Chip has built a well-earned reputation through years as an attorney and in the political trenches. He’s the all-too-rare candidate that should strike genuine fear in the hearts of moderates and liberals on the Hill.

My friend Daniel Horowitz, over at Conservative Review, summed up well the catalog of virtues that make electing Chip such a high priority:

“It is practically impossible to find a candidate who has the spine of a bullfighter and is brilliant on the issues, is articulate, fully understands the legislative process from day one, has a very specific agenda from the get-go, knows every subterfuge of the GOP leadership backwards and forwards, and has the ability to run a competent campaign. All those qualities in one package essentially don’t exist. But here we are.”

Finding this kind of opportunity is virtually impossible. It’s the conversation I’ve had time and time again with my conservative friends: “What if we could find a candidate like THIS?”

Well, we’ve found him: Chip Roy.

I’ve known Chip and his bride Carrah for many years and during my time working for Senator Cruz, I got to work for Chip. His record and my experience with him give me confidence that Chip will be an articulate and consistent voice for conservatives within The Swamp.

There are a lot of open races for Congress this year, and there will be plenty of good folks running. Among them all, Chip Roy really stands out as a man who will effectively and aggressively move the conservative movement forward.

One Interesting Point On The Riots

Riots spread across the U.S. in most major cities over the shooting of George Floyd on Saturday and Sunday. One interesting point: The rioters tended to be white, urban, 20-year-olds. Let me explain:
