Thanksgiving Buttermilk Pie

This is one of the pies that I will make for Thanksgiving. It is super easy.

Buttermilk Pie will be made for Thanksgiving. It is an easy, very sweet pie. For more recipes like this, you can order my new book, Before You Wake, by texting the word WAKE to 444999.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter
2 tbsp flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
unbaked deep dish pie shell
1/2 cup buttermilk

DO NOT USE LOW FAT BUTTERMILK OR GOD WILL BE ANGRY WITH YOU

Directions:

Melt butter. Add sugar and flour. Beat with hand mixer. Add eggs and beat some more. Add buttermilk and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Pour into an unbaked pie shell. Bake at 340 degrees for 40 minutes or until browned and set.

VARIATION Erick hates and Christy loves: Add zest of one lemon and sprinkle in blueberries. Will take longer to cook and you may need to cover the crust to prevent excess browning.
