The Simple Fact You Know But Won’t Admit

If Republicans were capable of forcing Donald Trump to rush into the open arms of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, Trump is not the man you thought he was.

By Erick Erickson

If Mitch McConnell failing to pass an Obamacare Repeal means Trump will embrace single payer national health care, Trump is not the man you thought he was.

If Republican inabilities to pass legislation mean Donald Trump will side with Democrats to pass Democrat legislation, Donald Trump is not the man you thought he was.

If Trump siding with Democrats to not build a real wall while keeping DACA kids in the United States permanently is because of Republican leaders on Capitol Hill not doing what Trump wanted, Trump is not the negotiator, boss, or fighter you thought he was.

If you are blaming Republicans for Trump making a decision you do not like, Trump is not the man you thought he was. You, after all, thought he would drain the swamp, be a fighter, cut the best deals, and be the best negotiator.

No, Trump is instead what people like Rick Wilson, Amanda Carpenter, me, and so many others told you he was all along.
