BREAKING: President Trump Issues a Clear Threat to North Korea

In what could be his most irresponsible move to date, President Trump has leveled a heavy threat against North Korea, in response to the latest news that they may have developed a nuclear weapon, small enough to be carried on a long-range missile.

By Susan Wright

Speaking briefly from his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, the president said:

“He has been very threatening beyond a normal state, and as I said they will be met with the fire and fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before. Thank you.”

North Korea is a problem.

North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un is a problem.

And words have meaning. What the president has done is make a clear threat. Beyond just the reaction of North Korea, we have to watch what China and Russia will do.

Sanctions were placed on North Korea last week that will have an immediate impact on the nation. That absolutely needed to be done, and it was widely approved.

However, what happens if the rest of the world begins looking at the United States and Donald Trump as the unstable world element?

With China and Russia backing the rogue nation, it’s hard to believe that President Trump had the approval of those partners, much less his Cabinet before making a statement of this nature. This was one of Trump’s off-script moments, and with the world a powder keg, the stakes are too high to leave these matters in the hands of an inexperienced TV huckster.
