Rick Perry for President

In Texas, the final criminal charges against Rick Perry have been dropped. The original indictment was drawn up by partisan Democrats intent on stopping Perry from being a viable Presidential candidate. It worked.

Rosemary Lehmberg, the District Attorney in Austin, TX, ran a public corruption unit. Ms. Lehmberg, an alcoholic, was arrested and became abusive to the police, trying to use her authority to get out of trouble. When Rick Perry threatened to veto legislation if it did not defund her public corruption unit, she had him indicted. Even national Democrats were outraged by her actions.

But those indictments have now been thrown out by the Texas judicial system.

As the Republican Party looks headed toward a protectionist, pro-abortion liberal and the Democrats look headed toward Hillary Clinton, Rick Perry may be needed back on the field for the good of his country.

I’d gladly support a Rick Perry third party run. I know a great many who would do so. Given both Hillary Clinton’s and Donald Trump’s lack of integrity, Perry would make a compelling and reassuring grown up alternative.

If Trump does get the Republican nomination, I would gladly support Rick Perry for President. A lot of others would too.
