BREAKING: Conservative Judges No Longer Have to Recognize Gay Marriage

By  |  April 17, 2017, 05:00am  |  @ewerickson

This is great news for conservatives across America. Conservative judges no longer have to recognize gay marriage. The left is even cheering on the precedent. We should all take notice and start implementing this across the country. Today, Neil Gorsuch joins the Supreme Court, but that has nothing to do with gay marriage. Nope, liberal judges themselves have set this precedent.

In Arkansas, federal judge Wendell Griffin has stopped the state from performing several executions. After issue the injunction, Judge Griffin went to an anti-death penalty rally and joined the protestors. He said he is morally opposed to the death penalty.

Lots of leftwing activists are cheering on Judge Griffin.

The law of the land is that the death penalty is constitutional. It does not matter if Judge Griffin is morally oppose or not, it is the law and he swore an oath to uphold the law.

But based on his precedent, I am sure Judge Griffin and the left will celebrate and cheer on conservative jurists who refuse to recognize gay marriage. It is the same principle — moral opposition trumps the law. Time and again when liberal jurists do this, they become folk heroes.

Just consider the Associated Press story. The reporter says only conservatives are upset with Judge Griffin. Shouldn’t the reporter and everyone else focus on a judge openly defying the law, substituting his own moral preferences for the law of the land?

If nothing else, the 2016 election should have taught us all that you don’t want to establish precedents you’d never want your opponents to use. Openly joining an anti-death penalty rally after halting executions is a level of judicial activism that neither side should be cheering on.

Judge Griffin should actually be impeached if not severely reprimanded for his actions. His period of good behavior is clearly at an end.
